PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Terane Abbaszade is an International Collaborative Pianist, Solo Pianist, and Music Educator whose distinguished career has spanned nearly five decades.

Since beginning her professional career in 1979, she has successfully combined international performance, collaborative piano, solo performance, and music education, establishing a respected reputation across multiple fields of musical artistry. Throughout her career, she has performed in Turkey, Russia, Romania, Germany, and the United States, appearing in concerts, cultural events, and international festivals while collaborating with renowned singers, instrumentalists, and artistic organizations.

Known for her versatility as both a collaborative and solo pianist, Terane Abbaszade brings a unique artistic approach to concert programming. In addition to her extensive work with vocalists and instrumentalists, she frequently performs solo repertoire within concert programs, creating stylistic and musical connections between different musical periods and traditions, enriching the artistic experience for audiences.

Alongside her performing career, Terane Abbaszade has devoted much of her professional life to music education. She served on the faculty of A. Zeynalli Music College in Baku from 1979 to 2002, taught at Yıldız Technical University Faculty of Art and Design from 2003 to 2009, and was a member of the faculty of Istanbul University State Conservatory from 2007 to 2022. Through decades of teaching, mentoring, and artistic guidance, she has helped numerous students pursue successful professional careers in music.

Her students have continued advanced studies at internationally recognized institutions, including the Wales International Academy of Voice in Cardiff, Wales, and leading opera training academies in Europe, including Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan. They have joined professional opera companies, performed on prestigious international stages, received awards at international competitions such as Fiestalonia Milenio in Spain, and successfully completed advanced LCM examinations and other professional music qualifications.

Terane Abbaszade’s artistic activities have included appearances on national television and radio broadcasts, including TRT, TRT Müzik, TRT Avaz, SU TV, and other cultural media platforms. She has also participated in major international cultural events and festivals, including the International Suzuki Festival, Bellapais Music Festival, Mersin International Music Festival, International Festival of Accordionists, International Choir Festival, and the International Turgut Reis Classical Music Festival.

In addition to her artistic and educational work, she serves as Vice President of the Cultural Arts Association in Ankara, contributing to cultural development, artistic collaboration, and international cultural exchange.

Today, Terane Abbaszade continues to perform, teach, mentor young musicians, and contribute to the international music community through her dedication to artistic excellence, cultural engagement, and music education.
